Job Description
The Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) is seeking a full-time Supervisor of Electrical Installations and Maintenance Level II in the Bureau of Fire Prevention. The selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing complex designs related to fire alarm and FDNY communication systems, and ensuring the timely implementation of the fire alarm variance approval process for large-scale, citywide construction projects.

Requirements

  • Four years of full-time satisfactory experience in the installation, repair and/or inspection of electrical equipment
  • A combination of education and experience that is equivalent to the four years of experience required
  • A baccalaureate degree in engineering or engineering technology may be substituted for the required experience
  • One year of full-time satisfactory experience working for a city agency or authority governed by the Personnel Rules and Regulations of the City of New York
