Planner

The Planner position involves routine planning and procurement of various commodities using a mainframe MRP system. The role requires planning, purchasing, expediting, and negotiating materials in support of production schedules and capital/MRO materials and services. The Planner will also maintain the MRP system data and its integrity, prepare and analyze reports, and support project management of existing and new products.

Under direct supervision, performs routine planning and procurement of various commodities using a mainframe MRP system. Plans, purchases, expedites, and negotiates materials in support of production schedules and capital/MRO materials and services. Maintains the MRP system data and its integrity, prepares and analyzes reports, and supports project management of existing and new products.

The ideal candidate will have a high school or equivalent degree and/or an Associate degree in business, with five or more years of experience in the manufacturing planning field. The candidate should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools, ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business data, and demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High School or equivalent and/or Associate degree in business
• Five or more years experience in the manufacturing planning field
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business data with some knowledge of spreadsheets and general accounting practices
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment
