Role OverviewThe Texas Workforce Commission is seeking a Planner V to work in the Construction and Facilities Management department. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Austin, Texas, with occasional out-of-town travel. The role involves highly advanced (senior-level) planning and research work, overseeing the development of local, regional, or state plans and programs.
What You Will Do
You will oversee planning and research projects, field surveys, and evaluate research on trends, policy issues, and proposed legislation. You will develop short-range and long-range plans, prepare complex reports and presentations, and administer the development of complex plans or programs. You will also serve as a liaison between federal, state, and local agencies and supervise the work of others.

Requirements
- Five years of experience in planning and/or research, or in administrative management including experience in planning and/or research.
- Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications.
- One year of full-time in-service experience classified as a Planner IV with regular status will satisfy the minimum qualifications.
