Plant Engineer (CB2)

The Plant Engineer will lead and support the maintenance execution activities in the Council Bluffs, IA Facility, overseeing the success of the facilities Preventative Maintenance program, and responsible for Automation, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Reliability. The role involves leadership, management, and development of team members, aligning with Corporate Engineering, and partnering with functional departments.

What You Will Do

The Plant Engineer will oversee the maintenance execution activities, develop the department through recruitment and team member development, align with Corporate Engineering, and partner with functional departments to accomplish departmental KPI's. The role involves technical leadership, facilitation of Root Cause Analysis, Focused Improvement, and FMEA, and support the team in new projects development.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of progressively more responsible positions within industrial maintenance field
• Minimum 5 years within a food processing industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Extensive background in ammonia refrigeration, air compressor technology, variable frequency motor controls, maintenance of sanitary conditions
• PSM/RMP experience preferred
• SAP experience preferred
• Must be able to demonstrate effective people skills
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with basic office software (word and excel)
• Supervisory skills – maintenance management through whom both direct and indirect people report, project administrative assistant and planners
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred but a combination of education and or work experience will be considered
• Experience of proven food processing/manufacturing experience in electrical, electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatics is required
