Plant Environmental Safety & Health Leader

The Lead Environmental, Health, and Safety (ESH) Specialist serves as a strategic partner for leading all ESH and Security related topics within the new greenfield manufacturing plant. The ESH role ensures the implementation and continuous improvement of all site programs for Environmental, Health, Safety and Security compliance.

What You Will Do

Play a leading role in the permitting processes with the authorities for facilities which require permits. Check and ensure compliance with legal and internal regulations and advise how these requirements can be integrated within standard business operations. Develop and implement ESH related processes in new plant locations or ensure ongoing programs, at a minimum, meet the expectations of legal requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety or other similar related degree.
• 5+ years of Environmental, Health, and Safety (ESH) experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Working knowledge of regulatory guidelines for Health and Safety, Environmental, and Life Safety Codes.
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention-to-detail and organization skills
• Ability to proactively lead plant ESH programs, make decisions and escalate matters as necessary
• Intermediate user of Microsoft Programs to include: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Teams
• Project management experience
