Role Overview

Performs fertilization and pest management on trees, shrubs, and lawns using spray and injection tools. Works outdoors, identifying and diagnosing insects, weeds, fungus conditions, and pest-prone areas. Communicates with clients regarding diagnosis and prescribed pest control and fertilization services.

What You Will Do

Properly identify and diagnose insects, weeds, fungus conditions, and pest-prone areas. Communicate with and educate clients regarding diagnosis and prescribed pest control and fertilization services. Continuously monitor plant health quality and fertilizing methods after application and communicate progress to clients and supervisors.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Ability to work outdoors, love of the outdoors, and a background in forestry, horticulture, or landscaping. Ability to complete the Davey Tree Qualified Plant Health Care Tech training program and First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire.

Requirements

  • Love of the outdoors
  • Background in Forestry, Horticulture, or Landscaping
  • Ability to complete the Davey Tree Qualified Plant Health Care Tech training program
  • Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course
  • Valid driver's license
  • Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
