Job Description
The Plant Operator Technician I is responsible for sewage, FOG, sludge waste processing, and disposal equipment in the septic and wastewater processing plant to produce quality effluent water in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

Requirements

  • Act as a plant operator, responsible for total plant operations.
  • Responsible for monthly reporting and ordering of chemicals.
  • Work independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
  • Monitor control panels and adjusts the plant operations as needed.
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests: TSS, COD, pH, etc.
  • Ensure that pumps, valves, boiler instruments, and other plant and wastewater treatment equipment are functioning properly.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
