Role OverviewThe Plasma Operator is responsible for operating the plasma cutter and assists with the press brake and shear cutter within our fabrication shop. Essential functions include setting up, adjusting, and operating plasma cutting machines, press brake machines, and shear cutters to cut sheet metal according to blueprints and specifications.
What You Will Do
Set up, adjust, and operate plasma cutting machines, press brake machines, and shear cutters to cut sheet metal according to blueprints and specifications. Read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and measurement tools to ensure accuracy. Select proper tooling and dies for each job and perform adjustments as needed.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience operating a plasma cutter, be able to read a tape measure, and pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and previous experience operating a press brake or shear cutter is desirable.
