Job Description
The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is seeking a Plumber to join the Water Resource Recovery Operations Division, Drinking Water Operations Directorate. The Plumber will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and HVAC equipment in facilities and buildings throughout the upstate Water Resource Recovery facilities.

Requirements

  • Five years of full-time satisfactory experience as a plumber acquired within the last ten years
  • Not less than three years of full-time satisfactory experience plus sufficient full-time experience as a plumber's helper or apprentice, or training of a relevant nature
  • Recognized apprenticeship by the New York State Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of Labor, or any apprenticeship council
  • Approved schooling by a state's Department of Education or comparable agency
