Role OverviewThe Plumbing Inspector ensures and maintains compliance with regulatory guidance governing plumbing and gas piping systems and equipment. They perform inspections in the field, assess code compliance, and communicate discrepancies to customers. The employee works alone and demonstrates superb customer service.
What You Will Do
Perform inspections in the course of construction, alteration, and repair for compliance with all applicable/adopted codes and safety standards. Manage and maintain records using electronic devices in the field. Investigate complaints, reported safety issues, and potential code violations.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in the Plumbing Construction Industry as a journeyman or master. They must maintain required certifications through continuing education and stay abreast of code changes and code adoptions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Five years of experience in the Plumbing Construction Industry as journeyman or master
- Valid State of Kansas Driver’s License
- Journeyman Plumbing Certificate
- Obtain ICC Plumbing Inspector Certificate (Residential and Commercial) within 12 months of hire
