Job Description
The Preventative Maintenance Field Technician is responsible for completing assigned jobs and tasks, including removing and installing parts with minimal supervision. The role involves providing repair recommendations, completing paperwork, and accessing required databases. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, general knowledge of diesel or gas engines, and a clean driving record.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • General knowledge of diesel or gas engines, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic systems and components
  • Clean driving record and CDL or ability to obtain the CDL within 60 days of employment
  • General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, laptops, diagnostic software and cranes and rigging equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and write routine reports and correspondence
  • Knowledge of database software, internet software, manufacturing software and order processing systems
  • The ability to provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to the customer
  • May be required to complete a DOT physical
  • Successfully complete Work Steps assessment
