Role OverviewUnder the direction of the Directors of the Poison Center, the Poison Information Provider (PIP) is responsible for providing initial triage of calls and assisting the Poison Information Specialists in management of home calls and follow-up calls for established patients.
What You Will Do
Provide initial triage of calls, assist in managing poisoned patients, provide information to the public, and provide administrative support to department staff.

Must be able to use computer and office equipment, have knowledge of medical terminology, and have excellent phone and communication skills.
Requirements
- High School graduate or GED
- Student in good standing in or graduate of an accredited health-science program (Pharmacy, Nursing, etc.)
- Ability to use computer and office equipment
- Familiarity with databases
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to complete the Poison Center math examination within 3 months of hire
- Excellent phone and communication skills
- Detail oriented and able to synthesize and succinctly report an interview
