Role Overview

The Policy and Strategy Specialist will provide support to activities in the Executive Office, collaborating with staff throughout the bureaus and programs. The role involves conducting research and analysis, drafting communications and presentations, and working with partners to advance policy priorities.

What You Will Do

The Policy and Strategy Specialist will complete research and analysis projects, draft communications and presentations, and assist with policy campaigns and other projects. The role also involves working with partners, educating and mobilizing staff and clients, and performing other duties as required.

Requirements

  • BA/BS required
  • Masters in Public Health or other related field required
  • 3-5 years' experience working within public health, health care, municipal or state government, or political or advocacy campaigns
  • Training and experience in research, analysis, writing policy reports, and preparing presentations
  • Experience with the state or federal legislative process and an understanding of the public health policy landscape a plus
