Policy Manager

The Policy Manager will support the company's legislative, regulatory, and political engagement across priority markets. This role will report to the Policy Director and will play a critical role in developing policy strategy, monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, coordinating with external stakeholders, and providing strategic analysis to support the company's government affairs objectives.

What You Will Do

Monitor legislative, regulatory, and political developments across Nautilus' priority markets, analyze proposed legislation, prepare policy memoranda, develop and maintain tracking systems, and support state-specific government affairs strategies.

Requirements

• Currently in the final year of a master's program or has completed a master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, Environmental Policy, Energy Policy, Government Affairs, or a closely related field.
• Three to five years of experience in government affairs, public policy, legislative affairs, regulatory affairs, political strategy, or a related area.
• Legislative or regulatory experience, including experience working for or with a lawmaker, state legislature, regulatory commission, public utility commission, executive agency, or similar organization; energy or electricity-sector experience is strongly valued.
• Demonstrated understanding of state legislative and regulatory processes and how legislation and regulation can affect market-based business decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing executive-level briefing materials.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple policy initiatives across several states and work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
