Requirements

  • High school degree, GED, or experience working with vulnerable populations
  • Experience and/or training of at least two years with individuals with dual diagnoses who display physical and verbal aggression
  • Comprehension of current MN statutes 245D and positive behavior supports
  • Medication administration training
  • First Aid training
  • CPR certification
  • Mental Health certification or credentialed as a Mental Health Practitioner
  • Background study (BGS) clearance
  • Driver's license
  • Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to read, write, and use computer
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to recognize boundaries and relate to a wide variety of people
  • Knowledge of local community resources
