Role OverviewDiagnoses and repairs heavy equipment, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. Performs preventative maintenance and communicates with managers and operators to minimize future repairs. Maintains a clean and safe work area and follows all safety policies and procedures.
What You Will Do
Diagnoses mechanical problems, performs repairs, and completes required paperwork. Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Requires knowledge of suspension, brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as proficiency in diagnostic tools and ability to complete work within suggested repair times. Must be able to provide assistance and guidance to assistant technicians and shop helpers.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Suspension Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair
- Knowledge of Brake System Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair
- Knowledge of Electrical System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair
- Knowledge of Hydraulic System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair
- Previous Yellow Iron experience
- Proficient in the use of Diagnostic tools with the ability to interpret and make repairs from Service Manuals
- Ability to complete work within Suggested Repair Times (SRTs) and the ability to estimate time and material required for repairs
- Valid Class E Drivers License
