Role OverviewDiagnoses and repairs heavy equipment, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, and hydraulic systems. May involve welding and fabrication. Works in a variety of environments, including extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
What You Will Do
Diagnose mechanical problems, perform repairs, and complete preventative maintenance on heavy equipment. Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs. Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of suspension, brake, electrical, and hydraulic system inspections and repairs. Previous Yellow Iron experience is required. Proficiency in diagnostic tools and ability to interpret service manuals is essential.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Suspension Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair
- Knowledge of Brake System Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair
- Knowledge of Electrical System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair
- Knowledge of Hydraulic System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair
- Previous Yellow Iron experience
- Proficient in the use of Diagnostic tools
- Valid Class E Drivers License
