Role OverviewThe lab is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to work alongside current postdoctoral associates on Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's Disease, and MeCP2 projects. The Postdoctoral Associate will work in a laboratory at the Jan and Dan Duncan NRI focused on the underlying genetics and molecular mechanisms of genetic neurological disorders.
What You Will Do
Studies mouse models of disease, characterizes IPSC-derived neurons, tests candidate small molecules, receives advanced research training, plans and directs research experiments, evaluates and analyzes data, and publishes results in research journals.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field, and will be able to work independently and as part of a team.
