Job Description
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the Laboratory of Dr. Sayan Nandi at Howard University. The laboratory is focused on understanding the contributions of microglial cells in various brain disorders. The candidate will have the opportunity to learn various models and relevant techniques in Neuroscience and will be involved in training incoming students and postdoctoral fellows.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. degree with background in Neuroscience or related fields
  • Training in rodent procedures including stereotaxic methods, imaging, and behavioral studies
  • Experience in slice electrophysiology (or biochemistry/molecular biology)
  • Effective communication skills
  • In-depth understanding of brain function and scientific literature
  • Extensive data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and researchers
