Role OverviewAs a Power Amplifier IC Design Co-Op at Skyworks, you will learn and participate in the development of advanced, state-of-the-art radio frequency (RF) front-end modules, working with seasoned engineering professionals and collaborating with subject matter experts across Skyworks.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include designing RF power amplifiers, running simulations using industry-standard design tools, performing laboratory testing, troubleshooting, and collaborating with engineers and technicians across multiple disciplines.

Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Commitment to working on-site in Irvine for the duration of the January–June 2027 co-op term
- Strong career interest in power amplifier design and RF/microwave engineering
- Familiarity with amplifier operating modes, including Class A, AB, C, E, and F, as well as load modulation techniques such as Doherty power amplifier design
- Familiarity with Digital Predistortion (DPD), memory effects, and their impact on power amplifier design
- Willingness to share knowledge and collaborate with others
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
