Job Description
The Power Plant Operator (P) is responsible for directing, coordinating, and managing all aspects of the Adak power plant, ensuring efficient operation within budget and providing a quality product to customers. The job requires daily preventive maintenance and repair, trouble-shooting, monitoring and operating generation sets, and managing emergencies and special support work.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and technical school certificate
  • 18 months of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in remote monitoring or similar activity
  • Working knowledge of principles of electrical distribution and diesel generation construction and operations
