Job Description
Cirrus Aircraft is currently hiring an Aircraft Systems Engineer II focused on Powerplant Systems. The engineer will design, develop, integrate, and certify powerplant systems with engine and/or propeller manufacturers, as well as systems such as fire extinguishing, fire detection, engine controls, and more. The role requires coordination with subcontractors and external suppliers, and active involvement in development and certification of powerplant systems under FAR Part 23, Part 25, or Part 33.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering
  • 3 years or greater experience in powerplant systems desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills on technical issues
  • High level of initiative to fill gaps when necessary
