Role OverviewWe are hiring Pre-K Childcare Assistants for our Before and After School Program at Beekman Elementary School in Poughquag, NY. The successful candidate will work with children, helping them learn through play and positive experiences. The role involves facilitating hands-on activities, providing a safe and healthy environment, and acting as a positive role model for children.
What You Will Do
The Pre-K Childcare Assistant will facilitate hands-on activities, provide a safe and healthy environment, and act as a positive role model for children. They will also observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies. Additionally, they will support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Requirements
- 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred
- Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
