Role Overview

We are hiring a Pre-K Childcare Lead for our Before and After School Programs for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will work with children, helping them learn through play and positive experiences. The role involves working well with teammates and communicating effectively with families. The position is part-time, non-exempt, and follows the school calendar.

The main day-to-day responsibilities will include working with children, encouraging their curiosity, creativity, and confidence, and providing exceptional care. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and engaging environment for the children.

Requirements

  • 9 Credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field with a plan of study leading to Associates or other Office recognized credential (with 2 years of experience)
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field
  • Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period (with 1 year of experience)
  • Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB)
  • Demonstrates a positive, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and team members
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance
  • Able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and meet the physical demands of working with children
