Role Overview

This part-time, non-exempt position is for a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to work in the UPK Program at Chappaqua Central School District for the 2026–2027 school year. The teacher will implement the Creative Curriculum, plan and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction, and support early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development through play-based learning.

What You Will Do

The teacher will conduct assessments, document progress, and communicate with families, build strong relationships with families and support UPK engagement, and maintain a high-quality ECERS-3 aligned classroom environment.

Requirements

  • Valid NYS Early Childhood Teaching Certification (Birth–2, N–6, Pre-K–6) or Bachelor’s with approved 5-Year Plan
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
  • Experience with preschool-age children
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
