Job Description
Fairway Construction is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead all aspects of the preconstruction and early project development process. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting projects up for success, combining cost management, scheduling, design coordination, and entitlement support. The position requires a strong background in construction methods, site development, and jurisdictional permitting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project management in the multifamily or mixed-use sector
  • Experience supporting early-stage site and building feasibility planning, particularly for LIHTC and market-rate developments
  • Deep knowledge of construction methods, site development, and jurisdictional permitting processes
  • Familiarity with affordable housing programs, including LIHTC eligible basis, Davis-Bacon, and compliance considerations
  • Proficiency in estimating and project management platforms such as Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, Procore, and Excel
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
