Role OverviewThe Paraprofessional aids in the instruction of students, assists the classroom teacher, and assumes the lead role of the classroom in the teacher's absence. They must be able to lift and transport boxes, stand for long periods, and transport students. The Paraprofessional must also promote student engagement, monitor behavior, and maintain a professional demeanor.
What You Will Do
Teaching, as needed, subjects at an appropriate instructional level, aiding and assisting the classroom teacher, and assuming the lead role of the classroom in the teacher's absence.
