Role OverviewAssist Head Start classroom teachers in the care and development of children enrolled in an early childhood education center, maintaining the classroom and planning/teaching activities to encourage children's cognitive, social/emotional, physical, and creative skills.
What You Will Do
Assist in planning and teaching activities, maintaining the classroom, and caring for children's development.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have FCCPC Birth–Five or CDA Preschool certification, or an Associate in Early Childhood, with one or two years of experience working with preschool children in a child care facility, preferably in a Head Start program.
Requirements
- High diploma or GED required
- CDA/FCCPC childcare certification required
- Associate's in Early Childhood Education a definite plus
- One or two years of experience working with preschool children in a child care facility preferred
- Red Cross First Aid certificate
- Certificate of good health and completed TB test
- Fingerprint and background check level 2, and drug test
