Job Description
Groundwork is seeking an experienced Press Secretary to support their communications agenda, focusing on media outreach strategies. The role involves coordinating media relations, crafting press statements, strategizing on research rollout, and advising on issue campaigns. The press secretary will promote the work of the leadership team and policy experts, including pitching experts as spokespeople and building relationships with journalists and other stakeholders.
Requirements
Experience in generating high-level media coverage.
Strong relationships with national media, including broadcast bookers and producers.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Knowledge of progressive economic policy (bonus).
Experience in an organization, campaign, congressional or political office (bonus).
