Role Overview

Join a supportive community health team dedicated to youth empowerment, health promotion, and community well-being. This flexible 25-hour-per-week position combines direct classroom engagement with community health outreach in Knox and Waldo counties.

What You Will Do

Deliver interactive, age-appropriate, evidence-informed health and substance use prevention education directly to K–12 students in local schools and afterschool programs. Provide community harm reduction education, overdose prevention awareness, and resource navigation support across Waldo County.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in public health, education, human services, or a related field
  • Relevant life or work experience (teaching, mentoring youth, community outreach, camp counseling)
  • Strong communication skills, enthusiasm for working with young people, and an approachable, non-judgmental attitude
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable personal vehicle for local travel
  • Comfortable with basic Google Workspace / Microsoft Office tools and email
