Role Overview

The Primary Care Physician is responsible for providing medical services for members at the Kern Adult Psychiatric Health Facility. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to provide care to seriously mentally ill adults. The physician will be responsible for directing and supervising clinical staff, as well as establishing medical policies and quality improvement procedures.

What You Will Do

The Primary Care Physician will obtain patient history, perform physical evaluations, order diagnostic tests, and initiate treatment plans. They will also review incoming reports, ensure documentation is complete and timely, and consult with specialty physicians as needed.
