Role OverviewNorthrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Test Engineer / Senior Principal System Test Engineer for the Launch Systems team. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. The employee will develop customer contractual needs and requirements into test solutions that acknowledge technical schedule and cost constraints. They will also develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules.
What You Will Do
Develop customer contractual needs and requirements into test solutions that acknowledge technical schedule and cost constraints. Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules. Review and evaluate test requirements for completeness of test program. Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts, Element Test teams, System Test teams, and other stakeholders to identify test objectives, test requirements, and risks that require test to mitigate.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time. Must have 3+ years' experience in guidance, navigation, or control algorithm development and/or flight/trajectory analysis for launch vehicles, missiles, spacecraft, and/or aircraft applications.
Requirements
- Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
- 5+ years' experience in guidance, navigation, or control algorithm development and/or flight/trajectory analysis for launch vehicles, missiles, spacecraft, and/or aircraft applications
- Bachelor's degree in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD
