Role OverviewJoin Northrop Grumman as a Principal/ Senior Principal BIT Systems Engineer based out of Linthicum, MD. As a lead Built-In-Test (BIT) Systems Engineer, you will apply strong systems engineering knowledge and understanding across disciplines and work with various systems, hardware, and software teams. You will be responsible for verifying BIT Mode functions and systems operate effectively, ensuring errors are captured, corrected, or compensated for without impacting sensor performance.
What You Will Do
Derive BIT requirements, design of the BIT and Fault Isolation/Detection mode(s), evaluating the effectiveness of modeling and analysis, gaining a deep understanding of Sensors Hardware capabilities, leading a team to develop and integrate software using C++ and Python, define requirements to maintain system performance, verify embedded implementation of the BIT mode, produce publication-quality documentation and supporting Factory Test activities, engaging in system integration and test activities, as well as providing field support.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, master's degree with 3 years of experience or Ph.D. with 1 year of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields
- U.S Citizenship is required
- A current/active U.S. Government Secret Clearance
- Experience with MATLAB for Data Analysis
- Domain experience in sensor simulations for RF sensors
- Experience with integration and test of RADAR, SIGINT, or EW systems
- Experience in reviewing C/C++ code
