Job Description
The Principal Engineer - Gas Engineer Design & Delivery will be responsible for all aspects of gas engineering design in New York, including standards, procedures, training, and communication. The role will guide project engineers and department design engineers for gas transmission and distribution projects, and lead and guide the Gas Engineering group across Avangrid in their technical training and development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technology
  • A minimum of 15 years of technical experience in gas engineering or related field
  • Expert knowledge and experience in gas engineering and design, national and state code requirements and standards, and compliance requirements associated with API, ASTM, ASME, ANSI, 49 CFR Part 191 & Part 192, NYS Title 16 Chapter III and ISO 9001
