Role OverviewThe Principal Engineer, Commercial Architect will own the architectural direction for the commercial application portfolio across business units. This includes architecture for both custom-built applications and technology platforms, support software selection decisions, define architecture patterns, and ensure architecture achieves information security requirements. The role will work alongside product owners and engineering teams as an active, embedded partner in delivery. The Principal Engineer, Commercial Architect will also bring working knowledge of retail and consumer packaged goods business processes and advise on building shared capability, reusability, and user experience within commercial applications.
What You Will Do
The Principal Engineer, Commercial Architect will design the end-to-end data flows between commercial systems and the data and analytics / AI platform, define flows of commercial operational data for analytics and management reporting, and ensure commercial systems are designed to support emerging AI use cases. The role will also architect the integration of external industry data sources into commercial applications and plan and shape integrations between commercial and corporate systems.
