Role OverviewThe Principal Engineer, Digital and Mixed-Signal will be part of TSMC's Analog and Mixed-Signal team, responsible for designing digital and mixed-signal circuits, implementing machine learning in feedback control systems, and working with high-speed digital to analog converters and SoC power management. The candidate will report to the Department Manager of the Advanced Connectivity Department in Austin, Texas, and work in a hybrid schedule with 4 days in office.
What You Will Do
The responsibilities of the Principal Engineer, Digital and Mixed-Signal include selecting and architecting machine learning in feedback control systems for Internet-of-Things applications, developing digital functions for high-speed converters, and integrating digital functions in mixed-signal circuits.

- Experience running front-to-back suite of digital integration tools
- Good top-down design knowledge and experience
- Experience with control theory and feedback
- Good understanding of advanced semiconductor manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of test and characterization of mixed-signal circuits in the lab
- Scripting in TCL, Python, or Perl
