Role OverviewThe Principal Engineer Software will design, implement, test, and maintain software throughout the lifecycle while adhering to specified requirements and standards. This role encompasses responsibilities related to the deployment, automation, maintenance, and enhancement of systems and software infrastructure to ensure optimal operations.

The engineer will engage in various aspects of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, system design, application development, testing, integration, and maintenance. They will apply their technical skills to resolve integration issues and communicate effectively with system analysts, programmers, and users to ensure that technology solutions meet program objectives.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of experience
- Master’s degree with 3 years of experience
- Ph.D. with relevant software engineering experience
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming languages, including C/C++
- Familiarity and development experience on Windows, Linux, and RTOS like LynxOS or VxWorks
- Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment
