Principal Engineer – Web Threat Detection & Distributed Systems

This is a senior individual-contributor opportunity focused on defining end-to-end technical solutions for highly scalable, low-latency products that protect web applications, online services, and digital transactions. The ideal candidate combines deep software architecture experience with strong knowledge of distributed systems, attack detection, data analytics, machine learning, and modern web technologies.

What You Will Do

You will help shape the technical direction of products designed to address sophisticated bot, abuse, and web-based threats at global scale. Your responsibilities will span runtime systems, configuration, reporting, analytics, attack detection, and product functionality from concept through implementation.

Requirements

• 12+ years of relevant software engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• Strong experience designing large-scale, low-latency, web-based distributed systems
• Demonstrated experience defining end-to-end solutions for complex software products
• Strong understanding of scalability, availability, reliability, and performance in distributed environments
• Experience with big-data analytics, machine learning, and/or AI-enabled software solutions
• Strong understanding of web technologies and the complete Software Development Life Cycle
• Ability to move effectively between high-level strategy and detailed technical design
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proven ability to operate successfully in environments with ambiguity, evolving requirements, and complex technical challenges
• Strong customer focus and the ability to translate real-world problems into scalable product capabilities
• Proactive approach to researching technologies, systems, and emerging technical challenges
