Job Description
Role Overview

Responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the Environmental Follow-up Component of lead cases. Supervises Health Inspectors in conduct of lead case management activities.

What You Will Do

Provides data and information to support the Director in the writing of reports & grant applications for the component and interacts with other areas of EOH. Assists with development and formulation of program policy and procedures.

Must obtain MA Lead Inspector License within six (6) months of hire and maintain valid licensure; existing license holders and Master Lead Inspector License preferred.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s of science degree from an accredited school OR five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • At least five (5) years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional or technical experience in Environmental Inspection.
  • At least three (3) years of the five years of experience must have been in a professional capacity.
  • At least one (1) year of the five years of experience must have been in a managerial capacity.
  • Must obtain MA Lead Inspector License within six (6) months of hire and maintain valid licensure; existing license holders and Master Lead Inspector License preferred
  • Maintenance of a valid MA driver’s license and a legally operable automobile required.
  • Familiarity with Boston neighborhoods; multilingual skills preferred (Spanish, Cape Verdean, Haitian Creole, Cambodian, Vietnamese, or Laotian)
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn about the role of public health in addressing racism, the social determinants of health, and inequities in health outcomes as well as strategies to advance racial justice and health equity.
  • Commitment to health equity and racial/social justice issues.
