Job Description
Principal Investigator - Archaeologist responsible for scheduling and managing small to medium projects, conducting research, and overseeing Phase I-III archaeological work in Texas and surrounding states.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
  • Conducts archaeological field work with the ability to identify artifacts and determine the presence of archaeological sites.
  • Collects data and field samples during archaeological investigations.
  • Analyzes historic and pre-historic artifacts and features.
  • Documenting methodologies and findings of research and archaeological investigations.
  • Reviews and writes portions of archaeological reports and prepares archaeological site forms.
  • Assists in making decisions about project alternatives and the resolution of adverse effects to archaeological resources.
  • Works with technical field, lab and office staff, managers (Senior Archaeologist/Section Head) and administrative staff to ensure that projects meet JMT and professional quality standards.
  • May help with business development through assisting in the preparation of proposals, budgets, and other marketing materials.
