Role OverviewWe're seeking an experienced Principal Investigator to lead archaeological investigations throughout Louisiana, southeastern Texas, Mississippi, and the broader Gulf Coast. The successful candidate will independently lead projects, develop regulatory strategies, manage scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and risk, and deliver defensible, high-quality work products.
What You Will Do
As Principal Investigator, you'll serve as Principal Investigator for Phase I survey, Phase II testing, Phase III data recovery, monitoring, and other cultural resources investigations. You'll lead compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, develop project approaches and regulatory strategies, and prepare scopes of work, research designs, work plans, permit applications, and agency submittals.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, Architectural History or closely related field
- A minimum of 10 years Archaeological experience
- A minimum of 5 years experience in planning, managing and executing archeological investigations
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
- Proven ability to manage multiple field crews
- Excellent communication and client interaction skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Requires ability to travel
- Successful candidates must be familiar with field study design and documentation, regulatory framework for cultural resource management, and GIS utilities
