Job Description
SEARCH is seeking a Principal Investigator for the Southwest region of the United States to support cultural resource management projects. The role involves coordinating field, research, and lab tasks, writing technical reports, and managing project staff. A strong focus on cultural resource management, including archaeological experience and regulatory compliance, is required. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Anthropology or related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience encompassing time in field, laboratory, and office.
  • Expertise in state and federal laws and guidelines governing cultural resources management.
  • Strong Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, and/or New Mexico archaeological experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to support projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cultural resource studies in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Demonstrated client management skills.
  • Superior technical writing skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Permit or qualified for agency permitting
  • Pass the relevant background checks.
  • Minimum three professional references.
  • Two writing samples (if a collaborative report, identify sections authored)
