Job Description
We're seeking an experienced Principal Process Engineer to join our aerospace manufacturing team to work on the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) project. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of machine processes, advanced manufacturing techniques, and a proven ability to optimize production workflows in a high-performance environment.

Requirements

  • Design, develop, and optimize 5-axis machining processes for aerospace components
  • Influence the creation of CNC programs using advanced CAM software
  • Analyze and improve cycle times, tool paths, and cutting strategies for efficiency
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to boost productivity and reduce costs
  • Ensure accurate machine setup, calibration, and compliance with aerospace standards
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and perform root cause analysis for defects
  • Integrate probe software for setup and on-machine verification
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and design engineers for manufacturability and quality
  • Select cutting tools, monitor tool life, and coordinate machine maintenance schedules
  • Lead process improvements, mentor team members, and promote safety and continuous improvement
