Principal Software Engineer, Cloud Platform

You will lead the development of cloud-native 'connective tissue' for complex radar ecosystems, turning massive output of edge radar systems into structured, actionable intelligence. As a technical shepherd, you will guide the team to build a mission-critical backend that is 'edge-aware'—designed to handle unique telemetry, scale, and security requirements of a fast-growing fleet of radar assets.

What You Will Do

You will act as the technical lead for cloud resources that ingest, process, and visualize data from edge radar units, research and prototype new backend technologies, define and lead the implementation of rigorous authentication protocols, and work closely with the Principal Engineer (Edge IoT) to define contracts and protocols.

Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in AWS cloud-native services specifically tuned for high-throughput device data
• Deep experience in leading the design of resilient systems that can handle bursty, high-frequency telemetry unique to radar systems
• Deep understanding of software security, specifically authentication (AuthN) and authorization (AuthZ) for remote devices, and data privacy frameworks
• Proven experience as a Tech Lead, moving between high-level system guidance and driving the implementation of complex backend services
• Strong understanding of edge constraints and ability to lead the design of cloud schemas that account for intermittent connectivity and bandwidth limitations
