Role Overview

The Police Assisted Diversion (PAD) Outreach Specialist works collaboratively with external organizations to divert individuals away from the criminal justice system and into social services. The role conducts needs assessments, assists with referrals, and provides support to individuals navigating behavioral health services in Philadelphia.

What You Will Do

Conduct needs assessments, assist with drug and alcohol assessments, shelter assessments, outpatient referrals, and connect individuals to community supports. Dispatched for quality of life emergency calls and non-violent low-level behavioral health calls.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in a human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting, and knowledge of recovery principles and recovery-driven service systems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in a human service agency
  • Valid and active driver's license
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to work in a team setting
