Job Description
This position serves as a registry eligible sonographer in the echocardiography laboratory and at the cardiology satellite offices. The cardiac sonographer will be trained and must be willing to learn all aspects of an echocardiographic exam, have a basic knowledge of cardiac pathology/echo equipment and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Equivalent / GED (Required)
  • Graduate of an approved Cardiac Sonography Program (Required)
  • Basic computer skills (Required proficiency)
  • Good communication skills (Required proficiency)
  • Basic knowledge of cardiac pathology (Required proficiency)
  • Basic knowledge of the fundamentals of echocardiography (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to learn to use all types of echo machines (Required proficiency)
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or RCS within one year of graduation from an approved Cardiovascular Technology Program (Required within 1 Year)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
