Job Description

The Dosimetrist ensures radiation machines are accurate and correctly calibrated to prioritize patient safety at our Louisiana Oncologics clinics.

Requirements

Designs an effective treatment plan by means of computer and/or manual computation
Ensures dose-limiting structures are considered in the design of treatment plans
Maintains proper communication with the patient and rest of the radiation oncology team
Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient treatment plans and related documents
Effectively participates in Quality Assurance and Improvement activities
Actively participates in clinical research for the development and implementation of new techniques
