Job Description
The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) is seeking an Intern to serve under a Principal Civil Engineer, assisting with contract drawings, specifications, and design calculations.

Requirements

  • Assist Process/Civil Engineers with preparation of contract drawings, specifications, and preparing design calculations.
  • Perform site inspections as needed for verification of existing conditions as well as incorporation of new work.
  • Maintain section standards, including specifications, drawing details, and the MUPPS (Master Underground Process Piping Survey).
  • Develop and design details, prepare plans and specifications.
  • Gain familiarity with contracts administration during construction and post-award engineering activities.
