Role OverviewThis position is a training role for a future leadership position within National Gypsum. The trainee will work under an experienced Plant Engineer to learn proper installation and maintenance of plant equipment and facilities. The role requires relocation to another NGC plant within 6-24 months.
What You Will Do
Assist in capital budget preparation, manage capital budget projects, complete equipment installation, and develop SOPs and PMs. Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical failures, develop process control technology upgrades, and evaluate production problems.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, minimum two years of manufacturing experience, and working knowledge of PLC programming, AutoCAD, and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
- Minimum of two years manufacturing experience
- Working knowledge in PLC programming, AutoCAD, and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of industrial electricity (power distribution, motor controls, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, possess leadership and training skills
