Role Overview

The Process Engineer will oversee manufacturing processes for automotive lighting products, contributing to quality, cost, and delivery targets. The role involves developing and implementing SMT manufacturing processes, optimizing equipment, and collaborating with design engineering to improve manufacturability.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include developing and implementing SMT manufacturing processes, programming and optimizing SMT equipment, performing root-cause analysis, creating process documentation, leading process capability studies, collaborating with design engineering, selecting materials, supporting new product introductions, training operators, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with IPC standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

  • Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, etc.) and ESD control requirements
  • Ability to lead process capability studies and implement statistical process control (SPC)
  • Collaborative skills to work with design engineering and other teams
